Kajang (Saujana Impian) house Nearly Robbed

Posted by Kian, Ting

Date: 5th July 2010; Monday.

This is a true story, cause it is my story. This incident happened on Monday yesterday, it is only now I can find the time to write about it.

I was staying at my in laws house through out the week end, and in Monday morning I wake up brush my teeth, had my cup of coffee and head for work. I felt a sense of uneasiness, but couldn't tell what it was about.

At about in the after noon I got a call from my wife saying that there is an attempted robbery at my In-Laws house. The incident happened in the morning. After I went to work, my wife then followed, my father in law had to send his younger daughter to tuition. Which left only my mother in law alone in the house. At the time of the attempted robbery, she was actually in the living room where she was just about to switch on the television she saw 2 Indian guys and a Chinese driver driving a Kia Sportage kind of car out side the house, they look suspicious and ominous. One of the Indian guy climb in the front metal gate, and surprisingly the dog which is suppose to protect the family didn't fight back nor bark at the stranger (It is believed that the strangers must have had put some fragrance on their body that renders the dog in somewhat of a blur state).

Upon seeing this my mother in-law shouted for help. Once the robber notice that there was some one in the house he quickly climb back out and sped away with the black car. This incident really gave my mother in law a scare. We proceed to log a police report regarding the case, but we see that there is little can be done by the police, I observe on the same day the police didn't even bother to send a patrol car to round the area.

As we settle down, I started to recall seeing the black car while I was jogging in the area on Sunday, the car didn't notice me standing beside the road. It was driving slowly. Once the driver saw me, he push the gas paddle to quickly move off as if to avoid me seeing his face. I thought that he might be lost or trying to find a relative or something, I didn't notice the car's number plate as I was being occupied from being chased by a crazy dog.

My advise to all of you who are reading this is to be careful, lock your doors at all times, be vigilant, and if really possible to install a home alarm. Also if you see any cars driving slowly around the neighbor hood or without any reason stopping at the road side for some time, you should take the effort to note down the car license number plate. If any robberies were to happen at least the police would have something to work with, not that we can really expect them to help, but nonetheless we would know who they are.

Dear Writer

thank god your mum in law is fine. That is the most important thing.

Money and valuables can go, but life and health is most important.

I know the feeling, as my mum in laws house was also broken into when we were away for a weekend in Cameron Highlands. They live in Sect 5, PJ,
just along Jalan Gasing.

It is not a nice feeling, and when the police came over, ... they did practically nothing.

In gratitude for your sharing,

Love,
Sanath
